Cheese Sauce Reduced Fat

Yield: 1  1/3 CUP


Ingredients

  • ​1 CUP Almond Milk ( previous recipe)
  • 3 TBSP white flour (or 1/4 CUP brown rice flour)
  • 3/4 CUP grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 TBSP Parmesan cheese
  • (OPTIONAL) 3/8 TSP tumeric, for color
  • 1/4 TSP salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Blend flour into milk until smooth with wire whisk and stir over moderate heat until thickened.
  2. Blend in remaining ingredients, stirring until cheese melts.


Info

Tip:  Mozzarella cheese contains half the fat of cheddar cheese. Parmesan cheese lends added cheesy flavor.
