Ruth's Chutney

This recipe is good with meats and vegetables.

Yield: About 1/2 CUP
Credits: My friend, Ruth from India, taught me this recipe.


  • ​About 1/8 CUP (2 TBSP) red onion, chopped
  • 1 small tomato, cut up
  • 2" fresh green chili (not hot), slit in half, seeds removed
  • 1 - 2 garlic cloves, to taste
  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • juice 1/2 lemon, to taste
  • salt, to taste


  1. Blend all ingredients together in blender.
